A Note from Susan: A heartfelt update, a season of gratitude, and what comes next

March 11, 2026 

After much reflection, I have made the heartfelt decision to close the Murray Ave Apothecary brick-and-mortar pharmacy and in-house lab this summer.

This is not a decision I made lightly.

For nearly two decades on Murray Avenue — and throughout my 45 years in pharmacy practice — it has been my privilege to help so many wonderful clients and their furry family members. The smiles, stories, and trust you brought through my doors have meant more to me than I can ever fully express.

As I prepare for this next chapter, I find myself thinking often of my dad — a pharmacist, a successful independent business owner, and my hero. I followed in his footsteps, and I truly believe he would be smiling down on me now, proud of the care, community, and neighborhood pharmacy spirit that grew from the example he set for me so many years ago.

My dad always said, “Don’t say goodbye, say so long.”

So please know — this is not goodbye.

To thank the community that made Murray Ave Apothecary a neighborhood icon, I am holding an ONLINE Client Gratitude & Retirement Sale on all LabNaturals.com supplements and skincare products while supplies last.

Many of these products have been longtime favorites for so many of you over the years, and I hope this sale is one small way to say thank you for your loyalty, trust, and friendship.

As this transition continues, the LabNaturals.com family of websites will remain online as educational resources featuring health blogs, hormone education, and consultation services.

And most importantly, I am not stepping away from the work I love most.

I will continue as Susan Merenstein, Holistic Consultant Pharmacist, focusing on education, consultation, and helping people better understand their health.

In the very near future, I also plan to offer an ONLINE professional supplement dispensary to provide a seamless transition for the brands I know and trust. Once a private-label product you have relied on is no longer available, I will guide you to its trusted brand equivalent through my online practitioner dispensary, with details to follow.

Thank you for allowing me to be part of your lives, your families, and your health journeys over the years. Helping you — and your beloved pets — has always been the most meaningful part of this work.
